OUR MISSION

To protect every Indian who participates in the digital ecosystem by building shared cyber safety infrastructure between regulators, platforms, and citizens.

OUR VISION

A digital India where no citizen loses money to cyber fraud. Where regulators and platforms share intelligence in real time. Where the infrastructure to protect 1.4 billion Indians exists and works.

“We envision a future where reporting fraud is as simple as making a UPI payment: instant, universal, and trusted.

“The infrastructure to protect India’s digital future cannot be built by one company alone. DSN is our commitment to the entire ecosystem.”

India’s Cyber Fraud Crisis — By the Numbers

This is not just a crypto problem. It’s a problem for every Indian with a digital footprint.

Deepfake fraud spike since 2019

In 2025, Indians filed 28.15 lakh cybercrime complaints. Of those, fewer than 2% became FIRs. Nearly half of all Indian adults have experienced or know a victim of AI voice-cloning or deepfake scams.

Meanwhile, UPI processed 21.7 billion transactions in January 2026 alone. Every transaction represents trust. Every fraud erodes it.

“Fraud doesn’t check which app you use, which bank you trust, or which platform you invest on. The defence must be equally universal.”

Our Pillars

What DSN Does

Four infrastructure pillars. One mission: a safer digital India.

Pillar 01Caution Before Transaction

Consumer Education

Multi-language cyber safety education, 24×7 WhatsApp helpline, and a public verification platform for suspicious links, numbers, and UPI IDs.

Pillar 02A Shared Immune System

Fraud Intelligence API

An open, free API that aggregates fraud data from across India's digital ecosystem — enabling platforms, law enforcement, and citizens to detect threats in real time.

Pillar 03Equipping India's Cyber Defenders

Law Enforcement Support

Specialized training in blockchain forensics, rapid-response technical support, and technology grants for state cyber crime cells.

Pillar 04Setting the Bar for Digital Trust

Industry Standards

Working with SEBI, FIU-IND, and the Ministry of Finance to establish shared cyber safety frameworks and publish quarterly State of Digital Trust reports.

Volunteer

Find Your Role in India’s Digital Defence

DSN is a volunteer-led technology network. Engineers, analysts, lawyers, educators. There’s a working group for every skill set.

Cybersecurity Experts

Analyse threat intelligence feeds and contribute to DSN's open Fraud Intelligence API. Review suspicious blockchain addresses, build fraud detection models, and help design systems that flag emerging attack vectors before they reach consumers.

Legal & Policy Specialists

Draft regulatory submissions to SEBI, FIU-IND, and the Ministry of Finance. Research crypto fraud prosecution gaps, write model policies for digital asset recovery, and liaise with I4C and law enforcement bodies to close the gap between complaint and conviction.

Apply as Specialist →

Educators & Content Creators

Create WhatsApp guides in Hindi and regional languages. Produce short video alerts on emerging scam typologies. Help build digital literacy curriculum for first-time internet users — teaching them to spot a fake website or fraudulent UPI request before they lose money.

Apply as Creator →

Technology Builders

Build and maintain DSN's open-source Fraud Intelligence API. Develop real-time verification tools for suspicious UPI IDs and links, contribute to the WhatsApp fraud helpline backend, and architect the data pipeline that powers the entire network.

Apply as Builder →

Law Enforcement Trainers

Run blockchain forensics workshops with state cyber cells. Teach investigators how to trace crypto transactions, develop case study materials from real fraud cases, and conduct hands-on sessions with I4C, Delhi Police, and Enforcement Directorate teams.

Apply as Trainer →

Community Organizers

Launch DSN chapters in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Organize fraud awareness drives with schools, colleges, and RWAs. Build local fraud alert WhatsApp networks and connect communities directly to DSN's reporting tools and resources.

The Manifesto

Your Expertise. India’s Defence.

We’re engineers at tech companies, analysts at banks, researchers at think-tanks, lawyers who work on cyber policy. We want to contribute but don’t have the bandwidth to do it full-time. And that is okay.

If you’ve ever helped your parent, relative, or friend avoid a scam link on WhatsApp or warned them about fake digital arrest calls, you already understand why this matters. Now imagine doing that at the scale of a country.

Some of us build fraud detection tools. Some educate and train law enforcement on blockchain forensics. Some write content that teaches a first-time internet user to spot a fake website and also transact safely.

We don’t have a hierarchy. We have working groups that pick a problem and go solve it. You contribute what you can, when you can. If life gets busy, you step back. No one keeps score.

“If that sounds like you, you’re already one of us.”
